Joe Biden To Hold “Community Meeting” In Kenosha

The Washington Post reports:

Biden and his wife, Jill, will travel Thursday to Kenosha, Wis., which has been the site of both peaceful mass demonstrations and damaging riots in which businesses have been looted and burned following the police shooting of Jacob Blake.

The former vice president “will hold a community meeting in Kenosha to bring together Americans to heal and address the challenges we face,” the Biden campaign said in a statement. The Bidens will also make a stop afterward at a to-be-disclosed location.

The visit comes two days after Trump visited the city. In a tour of damaged properties and a roundtable with law enforcement on Tuesday, the president said Kenosha had “been ravaged by anti-police and anti-American riots” and vowed to stand firmly with police.
