2021 Rock Hall Of Fame Inductees: The Go-Go’s, Jay-Z, Todd Rundgren, Foo Fighters, Carole King, Tina Turner

USA Today reports:

Jay-Z will be inducted to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on his first year eligible for the honor. Artists become eligible 25 years after the release of their first album or single and Jay-Z released his debut album in 1996.

The 2021 Rock Hall class is a veritable who’s who of modern influencers: Foo Fighters, The Go-Go’s, Todd Rundgren, Carole King, and Tina Turner.

Foo Fighter’s frontman Dave Grohl got his first induction with Nirvana in 2014. Turner was welcomed into the Hall in 1991 as a member of Ike and Tina Turner, and King has held a spot with songwriter Gerry Goffin since 1990.

I must note that Chic has been nominated a record 11 times, but were not up for the honor this year.
