The Birmingham News reports:
Rep. Mo Brooks was among other Republican members of Congress who asked then-president Donald Trump for protection from future prosecutions through a presidential pardon.
The January 6 committee, a bipartisan group of legislators investigating the January 6 riot at the Capitol in Washington, D.C., revealed Brooks’ name during a hearing Thursday.
Brooks sent an email with the subject line “Pardons” to the White House requesting a pardon for Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., himself, and “every congressman or senator who voted to reject the electoral college vote submissions of Arizona and Pennsylvania.”
