Musk’s crusade to punish his critics continues:
New Twitter boss Elon Musk has urged Americans to vote for Republican candidates in Tuesday’s midterm elections.
It’s widely expected that the Republicans will seize control of the House of Representatives in tomorrow’s key ballot but the Senate, which has just 100 members, is thought to be on a knife-edge with several close races.
Musk, who is also CEO of the electric car company Tesla, has had a chaotic start to life in charge of Twitter after spending $44bn to buy the social networking site, where he has over 113m followers.
To independent-minded voters:
Shared power curbs the worst excesses of both parties, therefore I recommend voting for a Republican Congress, given that the Presidency is Democratic.

Hardcore Democrats or Republicans never vote for the other side, so independent voters are the ones who actually decide who’s in charge!

Trying to think who is swayed by this and best I can come up with is that it moves some of the 70,000 Kanye voters in 2020 who have yet to make up their minds about the midterms https://t.co/MGqVI4dAPL

He either:
1) is out of his lane again, and doesn’t understand how Congress works
2) these are his actual politics, and he is totally fine with climate deniers in charge of Congress and blocking action on climate change, and empowering Marjorie Taylor Greene in the process.

Elon now tells people to vote Republican. The owner of Twitter is using his powerful new toy to influence the future of democracy. Anyone have a problem with that? https://t.co/WvZHlGaKYI
