The Washington Post reports:
A Michigan prosecutor charged a former state lawmaker and a losing candidate for state attorney general Monday as part of an investigation into the improper acquisition of voting machines.
Monday’s charges against former state Rep. Daire Rendon (R) and former attorney general candidate Matthew DePerno (R) stem from a stand-alone probe into what happened to voting machines in Michigan.
Four clerks in three Michigan counties turned over voting tabulators to third parties. They were taken to suburban Detroit, where a group of four men broke into the machines and performed “tests” on them. Online court records show charges, including ones regarding the undue possession of voting machines, were filed Monday against Rendon and DePerno.
