Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Friday announced she will seek another term in Congress, batting down speculation that she would retire.

“@SpeakerPelosi just told volunteers at a breakfast in San Francisco that she will run for another term in Congress,” Dustin Gardiner of Politico tweeted on Friday morning.

This comes after months of speculation about her future plans in Congress, as the octogenarian stepped down from her role as top Democrat after the last election cycle.
