Mediaite reports:
Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) blasted comments from former President Donald Trump in which he called Hezbollah “very smart,” and slammed Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
In an interview with Kristen Welker on NBC’s Meet the Press Sunday, Graham was confronted about the former president’s remarks about Hezbollah during a speech in Florida on Wednesday. “Israel’s communication minister called that language shameful,” Welker said. “Do you agree? Is that shameful language?”
“That was a huge mistake,” Graham replied. “A lot of people saw that as a personal attack because Netanyahu has recognized President Biden as the duly elected president,” Welker said. “Do you think that’s appropriate at this moment?!” Graham said, “No, I thought it was not helpful.”
