“In the wake of the recent terrorist attacks on Israel, we stand united in solemn solidarity. As a symbol of our unwavering support and empathy for those affected by these tragic events, I have asked our schools to observe a moment of silence. This moment reflects our deep sorrow and hope for the people of Israel. Let us offer a prayer for safety and peace for the people of Israel. Sample prayer: We pray that violence against the Jewish nation should stop and that a time of healing occurs for those lost. We pray for our leaders to stand strong and defend any attacks against the Israeli people.” – Self-avowed Christian nationalist Oklahoma superintendent of public schools Ryan Walters.
Never seen an elected official send out an email to public school teachers directing who to pray for and even an example prayer. This feels not only highly unusual, it feels inappropriate. This regime sure does like overreach & lawsuits 🤷♂️ pic.twitter.com/o8RM87BehB

Wow, this tweet took off. To clarify: student/teachers can always pray, meditate, or whatev, silently, within the minute of silence @ the start of each day in our schools. Heck they can do so silently all day, but the email to teachers f/ RW wasn’t needed & it is inappropriate.

I don’t need a doll, and he’s not hurting me, he’s hurting the state of Oklahoma. What does hurt me is seeing people buying Ryan’s BS and empowering him and his ilk.
