Wausau’s ABC affiliate reports:
A 52-year-old former Plover youth pastor was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Tuesday after previously pleading guilty to two counts of repeated acts of sexual assault.
Jordan Huffman, 52, of Antigo will also have 20 years of extended supervision after serving his sentence. The charges stem from an assault in 2017 and lasted until 2019 where Huffman was a youth pastor at Woodlands Church in Plover. The child was 12 at the time.
At sentencing, Judge Michael Zell described the defendant as a manipulator and abuser, one who would use alcohol, drugs, and coercion to get sexual gratification from children, according to a Portage County District Attorney’s Office release.

“‘And he’s used his position with the church to establish relationships with children.’ The judge concluded his remarks stating, ‘People need to understand that this behavior is very, very, very wrong. Mr. Huffman doesn’t seem to understand that yet.'”https://t.co/g3d1PeFzDz
