CNN reports:
A New York state judge rejected former President Donald Trump’s motion to throw out charges brought by the Manhattan DA in the criminal hush money probe in a court hearing that started moments ago.
Trump’s attorneys filed a motion to dismiss the indictment on a number of grounds, including alleging it was brought six years after the alleged cover up in an effort to interfere with the 2024 presidential election.
Judge Juan Merchan rejected the motion to dismiss the case in open court Thursday and ruled that Trump will face his first criminal trial with jury selection March 25th in New York.
