The Christian Post reports:
Rapper Kanye West is facing backlash after he called himself “the new Jesus” in his new album “Vultures 1,” which includes a song called “Carnival” that is reportedly filled with obscene language and sexual violence.
“They served us the porn since the day we was born / Anybody pissed off, gotta make ’em drink the urine,” the 46-year-old rapper recited during his song. “Now I’m Ye-Kelly, bitch, now I’m Bill Cosby, bitch / Now, I’m Puff Daddy rich, that’s Me Too me rich.”
After more verses filled with crude sexual references and a reference to pop star Taylor Swift, West states: “I’m the new Jesus, bitch, I turn water to Cris.'”
Deadline reports:
Kanye West is stirring things up and can’t keep Taylor Swift‘s name out of his mouth. The rapper has referred to the “Bejeweled” singer in “Carnival,” which is from the Vultures 1 album he released with Ty Dolla $ign.
“Why she say she sucked my dick / Then she say she ain’t sucked my dick / She gon’ take it up the ass like a ventriloquist / I made six Taylor Swift since I had the Rollie on the wrist,” West raps in the track.
The Washington Post reports:
Ye’s latest album, “Vultures 1,” topped the Billboard 200 chart this week, suggesting the rapper has retained much of his popularity despite a string of antisemitic and other hateful remarks that alienated him from corporate partners and many fellow celebrities.
The high ranking also comes despite accusations that the album — Ye’s first since his tirades against Jews in late 2022 — uses unauthorized samples from other artists, among other problems leading up to and following its Feb. 10 drop.
Ye apologized for his antisemitic comments last December in a now-deleted Instagram post written in Hebrew. “Vultures” was less apologetic. In the title track, Ye asks how he can be antisemitic if he’s had sex with a Jewish woman, and he mentions in his song “Stars” that he keeps “a few Jews on the staff now.”
As I reported at the time, the Christian Post devoted multiple praising articles to Kanye West’s proclaimed embrace of Christianity with his 2021 gospel album.
