Contempt Motion Filed On Trump’s Gag Order Defiance

The Huffington Post reports:

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg filed a motion to hold Trump in contempt over repeatedly violating a gag order by attacking witnesses, including his former attorney Michael Cohen and adult film star Stormy Daniels, on social media.

“Defendant is not above the law, and he cannot simply disregard judicial orders that upset him,” Bragg wrote.

“And both the public and the participants in the criminal trial deserve reassurance that the judicial system stands ready to protect them and to preserve the rule of law in the face of defendant’s extreme and deliberate provocations.”
