Religion News reports:
MyChurchFinder sends surveys to pastors nationwide and assigns a letter grade to their church based on their answers. To receive an A rating, pastors must demonstrate that they lead a “biblically sound, culturally aware & non-socialistic legislatively active church.”
The vast majority of the 270 churches in the directory received an A rating. MyChurchFinder’s rating system rewards pastors who thumb their noses at the concept of separation of church and state and believe that patriotism, politics and Christianity are inextricably, biblically linked.
The site is run by the Eleven Six Institute, which describes its mission as “ensuring the Church becomes and remains, not only the conscience of the Government, but also the moral guide to legislation and the moral standard for all Government.”
Read the full article. The site is being promoted by Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA. As you see at the link, some of the churches are run by pastors linked to the Proud Boys and Patriot Front.
One is run by former Washington state Rep. Matt Shea, who appeared here years ago for his call to execute men who fail to avow allegiance to Jesus.
Shea advocates for the creation of a 51st US state based on “biblical law.” Last year his group was ordered to pay $1 million over a Planned Parenthood blockade.

I wrote about MyChurchFinder, an online directory of christian nationalist churches, that ascribes NRA-style ratings to reward pastors who believe politics & christianity are inextricably linked @RNS https://t.co/niMB0Hb73r
