49% Of Independents Say Trump Should Drop Out

The right wing National Review reports:

Forty-nine percent of independents think former president Donald Trump should end his presidential campaign in the wake of his felony conviction, according to a new poll.

The poll, from Morning Consult, found that 15 percent of Republicans believe Trump should drop out of the race now that he’s been convicted on 34 felony counts for falsifying business records.

Still, the poll finds President Biden and Trump neck-and-neck, with Biden leading the former president by just one point. Meanwhile, a Reuters/Ipsos poll found that 25 percent of independent voters said they were less likely to vote for Trump after his conviction.
