In Musk’s mind, global fertility rates are not just a crisis, but the crisis. To be clear: The world’s population is not declining. There were about 2 billion people living a century ago, and last year the number topped 8 billion, according to the US Census Bureau.
The facts don’t seem to have put Musk’s mind at ease.
