Hogan Rejects Trump’s Endorsement: “I Didn’t Seek It”

Axios reports:

Former Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan (R) said on WTOP on Thursday that “he didn’t seek” former President Trump’s endorsement in his Senate race and that he has “no interest in it.”

Hogan said that he was “surprised” by Trump’s endorsement last week, especially after the ex-president’s campaign had slammed Hogan after he said to “respect the verdict” in Trump’s New York criminal trial.

“I didn’t seek it, I didn’t want to have it and I have no interest in it,” Hogan said Thursday. “It’s not something we’re going to be promoting, that’s for sure,” he said. Hogan has been a vocal critic of the former president and is vying to become the first GOP candidate in over 30 years to represent Maryland in the Senate.
