Within minutes after the police named the gunman captured on Trump’s golf course, cultists created multiple fake profiles and tweets claiming that the gunman is “proud LGBTQ+ member,” a “proud DEM,” and anti-MAGA. Among the more prominent cultists sharing fake profiles is the Red State columnist seen below, who has nearly 400,000 followers. One of the fake profiles is now posting pro-Hitler tweets. Cultists are also falsely claiming that the gunman made dozens of donations to the Democratic fundraising group Act Blue.

Elon/X has allowed someone to create a fake account under the alleged shooter’s name (Ryan Wesley Routh), and it’s now being used to spread vile anti-Semitic content including quotes from a Hitler account that X is also allowing on the platform. pic.twitter.com/reqGUcmynS
