MO Paper Declares Hawley The “Worst Sitting Senator”

The Huffington Post reports:

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch pulled no punches with a damning assessment of Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) as “quite possibly the worst sitting senator in America right now.”

The Missouri newspaper’s editorial board said Sunday that Donald Trump acolyte Hawley “stands apart for his singular role in spurring the violence” of Jan. 6, 2021.

Hawley was “the first and initially only senator to announce his baseless challenge of the election results, setting in motion the grotesque events that followed,” the board noted in an op-ed endorsing Hawley’s Democratic rival Lucas Kunce.
