NYC Mayor’s New NYPD Commissioner Hits The Exit

Politico reports:

New York Police Department Commissioner Tom Donlon is expected to step down in the coming days, according to four people with knowledge of the situation. Mayor Eric Adams tapped Donlon just last month to take over the top cop job after forcing his former commissioner, Edward Caban, to step down.

Caban’s departure came days after federal investigators seized his and his brother James Caban’s phones as part of a probe into allegations that James Caban was running a protection racket. onlon and his closest advisers were packing up their belongings Thursday in preparation to leave NYPD headquarters.
