CPAC Youth Pastor Denied Bond After MI Prosecutors Reveal He Called Victim 8 Times, Told Him To “Shut Up”

Michigan Live reports:

A former youth pastor charged with more than 30 felonies for sexually abusing children will stay in jail.

Washtenaw County District Court Judge J. Cedric Simpson denied Zachary Joseph Radcliff’s bond after hearing from prosecutors how the 29-year-old temporarily fled to Virginia during the ongoing investigation and repeatedly contacted a victim who came forward.

This means, absent another ruling, Radcliff will stay in jail until his case concludes. Simpson made the decision in a Thursday, Jan. 30, hearing. Radcliff’s attorney, Grand Rapids-based James A. Thomas, asked Simpson to reduce his client’s bond to $10,000.

When Radcliff’s arrest was first reported, commenters were pouring into his Facebook page with accusations of coverup by his church. CPAC has deleted his performance video from their website and from their YouTube channel. They have also deleted their press release heralding his appearance. Last year local police said there may be over a dozen victims. Above, note Jerry Falwell Jr.’s adoring gaze.
