Singer Sheryl Crow Sells Tesla, Gives Proceeds To NPR

Singer Sheryl Crow sold her Tesla and donated the proceeds to NPR as a way to stick it to “President Elon Musk” and the Trump administration, sharing a farewell video on social media. In an Instagram post aimed at Musk, Trump, and DOGE’s slashing of federal jobs and agencies, Crow said she had sold her electric vehicle in protest.

“My parents always said… you are who you hang out with,” the 63-year-old wrote. “There comes a time when you have to decide who you are willing to align with. So long Tesla.”

Crow added, “Money donated to @npr, which is under threat by President Musk, in hopes that the truth will continue to find its way to those willing to know the truth.”
