GOP Rep Who Called For Dropping Migrants From Helicopters Trolls Van Hollen With Fake Office Plaque

Rep. Mike Collins (R-GA) posted a photo on social media showing what appears to be a defaced name plaque outside the office of Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) on Friday night. Republicans slammed Van Hollen on Thursday and Friday for traveling to El Salvador where the Democrat met with Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a migrant who was erroneously deported by the Trump administration to El Salvador where he was imprisoned last month. The Department of Homeland Security acknowledged the deportation was an “error.”

Collins last appeared here in January when he celebrated the Capitol insurrection anniversary by posting, “On this day in 2021, thousands of peaceful grandmothers took a self-guided tour of the Capitol.”

After a September 2024 fatal mass shooting at a high school in his Georgia district, Collins declared, “Now is not the time to talk about gun control, we need to talk about bringing Jesus back to public schools.”
