Megachurch Leader Arrested On Child Rape Charges

Columbus’s CBS affiliate reports:

The sheriff’s office said 36-year-old Gary Thomas Keesee Jr. was arrested at his home and is charged with two counts of rape.  According to Mount Vernon Municipal Court records, the victim who made the initial report said the abuse happened when they were 5 and 6 years old and took place on over 50 occasions.

During the investigation, two other victims came forward, accusing Keesee Jr. of sexual abuse, court documents say. He will be held in the Licking County Justice Center. His case is scheduled to be heard by a grand jury on Monday, where more charges could be filed.

Keesee Jr. is the son of Gary and Drenda Keesee, founders of Faith Life Church. The church has campuses in New Albany and Powell and has more than 3,000 members. The church said it plans to cooperate fully with authorities and is seeking guidance from legal counsel.

From my February 2025 report:

Gary Thomas “Tom” Keesee, a son of Gary and Drenda Keesee, founders and senior pastors of Faith Life Church, a family-run, multi-campus megachurch in Ohio, is facing allegations of sexual abuse, including one from his sister, Kirsten McKinney. In addition to being a son of the Faith Life Church founders, Tom Keesee is also the former chief media officer at the church, according to LinkedIn.

Among the other alleged victims is Olivia Wooten, who publicly revealed that she’s a survivor in response to McKinney’s disclosure. “I am a survivor of sexual abuse, and my story was one that was silenced and covered up by the very community that was supposed to protect me. My old fears tried to stop me when deciding to open this case and It’s taken a long time for me to find my voice, but I am no longer afraid to share my truth,” she wrote on Facebook.

Olivia Wooten’s husband, Nathan Wooten, who is a former employee of Faith Life Church, also alleged in a statement on Facebook that Tom Keesee confessed to him more than a decade ago that he had sexually assaulted his wife while she was a minor.

From a February 2025 Knox Pages report:

News of the joint investigation broke last week after Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost declined to probe the allegations, claiming a conflict of interest due to his friendships with Gary and Drenda Keesee. Attorney Katie Tabor of Asiatico Law PLLC said Monday that Faith Life Church is aware of the “serious allegations concerning past conduct involving a member of our church leaders’ family.”

“In light of recent discussions and media coverage, Faith Life Church wants to clarify that there are no allegations against Pastors Gary and Drenda Keesee or any of our other pastors,” she said in an emailed statement to Knox Pages. The incidents were reported to have taken place in Mount Liberty and a residence on Sharp Road, both in Knox County. Gary and Drenda Keesee own 104 acres on Sharp Road and reside on Sharp Road.

In the opening to the second video below, Drenda Keesee rages about “globalists, Democrats, the one world order” and “lies by the mainstream media,” all of whom are obviously controlled by Satan.
