Trump Pardons Nevada Cultist Convicted Of Paying For Plastic Surgery With Money Meant For Police Memorial

Las Vegas’s CBS affiliate reports:

President Donald Trump has pardoned former Las Vegas City Councilwoman Michele Fiore weeks before her sentencing for wire fraud, the 8 News Now Investigators have learned.

In October 2024, a jury convicted Fiore, suspended in July 2024 from her position as justice court judge in Nye County, after deliberating for two hours. The panel convicted her on one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and six counts of wire fraud for taking money meant for fallen police officers’ memorials and spending it on herself.

Last week, Fiore lost her bid for either an acquittal or a new trial, a judge ruled. Fiore was scheduled to be sentenced on May 14. The White House confirmed the pardon but did not comment further.

Las Vegas’s ABC affiliate reports:

Fiore was appointed justice of the peace for Nye County in December 2022 after her failed campaign for state treasurer. She previously represented Ward 6 on the Las Vegas City Council from 2017 to 2022.

During her time on the council, Fiore was appointed mayor pro tem but resigned after facing backlash over accusations that she made “racially charged” comments during a Clark County Republican Convention.

Her resignation came after she allegedly said that “If there’s a job opening and my white ass is more qualified than somebody’s black ass, then my white ass should get the job.”

From an October 2024 Nevada Independent report:

Former Las Vegas City Councilwoman Michele Fiore was convicted of federal fraud charges Thursday after she used donations intended for a fallen police officer’s memorial for her personal gain, marking a downfall for the firebrand conservative who nearly became Nevada’s treasurer two years ago.

A Las Vegas jury convicted Fiore, 54, of six counts of wire fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. Each count carries a maximum sentence of 20 years imprisonment. She will be sentenced Jan. 6 and had little reaction as Judge Jennifer Dorsey read the verdict.

Federal prosecutors accused Fiore — across six months in 2019 and 2020 while serving as a councilwoman — of soliciting donations to her PAC and nonprofit for the construction of the statue but using the money for personal use, including her rent, plastic surgery and another daughter’s wedding.

Fiore made her JMG debut in 2015 when she volunteered to fly to Paris and personally shoot Syrian refugees in the head, saying, “I’m OK with putting them down, blacking them out, just put a piece of brass in their ocular cavity and end their miserable life. I’m good with that.”

Weeks later she earned national headlines for a Christmas card showing her entire family, including a small boy, clutching handguns and assault weapons.

In 2016, Fiore ran for the US House, finishing third in the Republican primary with just over 5000 votes.

In 2021, Fiore launched her run for Nevada governor with a campaign video in which she fired a gun at signs marking her “three shot plan” to ban vaccine mandates, ban critical race theory and stop voter fraud.

In 2022, she ran another gun-centered ad in Palm Beach, Florida in order to draw Trump’s endorsement in her bid for governor, which she did not get.
